Review of Brave Story (2006) by Hiu ? C — 18 Feb 2010
It's not as good as the Ghibli's anime, but its rather enjoyable to watch, better than Dodge Ball if you watch it for the same purpose, just to relax and to have a laugh.
It's quite a long film for an Anime, and the story is quite predictable, although, if you stay till the end, actually there is something very dark about this film: the broken family system in modern Japanese society, selfishness, inner personalities, the implication of homosexuality between the two boys, paraphilia, fantasy...etc.
Not bad.
