Review of Boys Don't Cry (2000) by Rob G — 18 Apr 2009
Director Kimberly Pierce's ultimate success comes at immortalizing this story that could so easily have been confined to the memories of those who experienced it. Helping Boys Don't Cry find its voice are its actors with Swank delivering a performance that is as much compassionate as it is authentic and Sevigny bringing a subtle and brave character to her performance rarely seen in cinema today.
