Extremely well-made and engrossing. Swank definitely deserved the oscar for this. I was totally convinced she was a man. The acting by all the other actors are good as well, especialy sarsgaard and sevigny, both of whom i've always liked.
the fine acting makes us care about all of them and their fates. the final scenes are some of the toughest scenes to watch on film i've ever seen. I highly recommend this.
