Review of Boy Culture (2006) by Brahm K — 02 Sep 2007
Unexpectedly romantic, sweet and sometimes smart -- not your typical "hooker with a heart of gold" story, this one does have moments of insight and wit as it tells the story of a high-end call boy in love with his roommate, as a way of talking about gay men's struggle with intimacy.
Then it does come to the expected happy ending, which is both sweet and a bit of a let down. Overall, much better than expected.
