Review of Bowie: The Man Who Changed the World (2016) by Shelley M — 21 Aug 2017
I've been looking forward to watching this movie on Netflix and it didn't disappoint! I am a big Bowie fan, and being born in early 60's I've had the privilege of listening to David Bowie and watching his TV and movie performances for most of my life.
I have to say this was a completely new variation that focused more on the human side of his life story, and the story behind it all is unlike other Bowie movies I've seen. I'd say this is more of a focus on the aspects of his early life and career mainly due to the people that are interviewed.
Having those only who actually knew him and not others who can only comment on his talent was a relief. It would've been better with Bowie music material but I'd encourage everyone to give it a watch! The interviews are great, and the way Bowie's life story is told unique and interesting and it was not predictable at all.
I really enjoyed this movie!
