Review of Borstal Boy (2001) by Jonathan S — 12 Jun 2007
A wonderful film that I had to go out and buy as soon as I watched it for the first time. Though compared to be the Irish brokeback, I don't believe that gives it nearly the credit it deserves. The context of being in a boys prison, WW2, and Oscar Wilde show a greater depth to both charactors and the plot.
Have a box of tissues for this film, it will be needed. Just a wonderful film!
