I really loved the way that this movie was done and I think that Steve, Don, and Ben wrote it so that it can stand on its own (separate from the book). I love how Don was able to use his real life experiences to encourage Christians and non-Christians alike to re-evaluate their perspective.
I honestly feel like this movie did a good job at encouraging Christians to seriously think about what they believe instead of merely encouraging them to just buy the package without investigating what is inside.
