Review of Blue Caprice (2013) by James P — 06 Oct 2013
BLUE CAPRICE. a film about the Beltway Snipers, is one of the best films of the year, a chilling portrait of how one sociopath can turn a troubled young man, desperate for love and respect, into another sociopath. I thought that Hugh Jackman or Jake Gyllenhaal had the Best Actor Oscar tied up, but I was wrong--Isaiah Washington does. Tequan Richmond.
SHOULD have the Supporting Actor Oscar sewn up. As subtle as any film by one of the Swedish or French masters, it rewards repeat viewings.
