Review of Blow Job (1964) by Dfh D — 08 Dec 2007
Whee, my first Andy Warhol movie! I always thought this one sounded like a cool concept too.
My film-history textbook said that the American counterparts to the French New Wave's Truffaut and Godard are Cassavetes and Warhol--.
I think I agree, from what I've seen by all four.
This film has no "plot" per se, but the single shot it consists of is well composed with cool noir-ish lighting as well as an interesting view to take on the self-explanatory action of the title, and despite its plotlessness it contains a climax... Heh.
But yes! A very interesting little film now that I actually watch it. Although definitely not for everybody...
