Review of Bloody Sunday (2002) by Matthew D — 12 Apr 2008
This remarkable Paul Greengrass film captures the mixture of militarism, prejudice and loss of innocence that changed the course of Irish and British history. That the Bloody Sunday massacre was completely preventable is relevant to us today.
Our current administration should be locked in a room and forced to watch this film, as well as The Battle of Algiers. Then again, perhaps they would simply revel in the carnage.
