Review of Blood Road (2017) by L F — 12 Jun 2017
This film is disguised as an action sport film about the 1,200 mile endurance mountain bike journey Rebecca Rusch undertakes through Southeast Asia but it is so, so much more. It's an educational film about the Vietnam/American conflict, a story of pure untampered human kindness, and most obviously a story of one daughter's search to find out what happened to her father.
The film feels so genuine and personal you have no choice but to be personally invested in every twist and turn. The amount of empathy the director achieves from the audience is only matched by the truly awe-inspiring aerial and on the ground footage of the crazy adventure through Jungles, Caves, and across the massive rivers of three countries.
Watch this shit!
