Review of Blade Runner 2049 (2017) by David H — 17 Dec 2017
Blade Runner 2049 reaches a level of film achievement I haven't experienced since watching Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey for the first time. The cinematography, set design, and direction are peerless, Every actor in this film completely nails their performance.
The script writers expand Philip K Dick's vision in a way that I felt completely honored my favorite sci-fi author's ethos. The score evokes the dreamlike experience of viewing the film without awkwardly plagiarizing Vangelis's work.
I saw this film three times during the theatrical release, and cannot wait to own a copy of the Blu-Ray home release.
