Review of Billy Bathgate (1991) by Sam M — 28 Oct 2017
Almost a myriad of weaknesses holds this film back for a proper good rating. It's okay, maybe at times difficult to follow, but Bruce Willis was under-utilised and Nicole Kidman was given a mile instead of a foot.
Loren Dean was a bit too awkward, immature, almost embarrassing to see him try to fit in his role. And the plot ignored some things like what happened to people like his first/only girlfriend before moving upstate with the crew.
