Review of Best Man Down (2012) by Richard B — 06 Apr 2014
From the preview you would think this movie was a comedy and after the opening scene, it seems to be going that direction. Soon after the film turns and goes down a sad and somber road of one man discovering who his "best friend" really was.
It is a very touching and heart warming story and also very sad. This movie is quick and to the point and moves along at a great pace which I loved. There was not much filler and not a point where anything seemed unneeded.
The acting was great, especially by Addison Timlin who put on an amazing performance and one of the best I have seen in a long time. This is a great reason to watch fairly unknown independent films because more often then not there is a gem like this one that is better then most bigger films of its type out there.
