Review of Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ (1925) by Bert D — 09 Jan 2011
An excellent film I feel is greatly underrated in some of the comments I've read here. "By today's standards" is an ignorant way of looking at art, but I guess that's typical for brains incapable of seeing something for what it is.
This is an epic masterpiece. Over-acting? Try acting without sound. Far superior to some of todays 'epics' with their sensory overload CGI and weak storylines.
