Review of Being Cyrus (2005) by Jay D — 13 Aug 2012
A bold attempt at bringing subtlety to Indian cinema. I mean that in the best way possible.
It's a movie that skillfully depicts the entrenched misery of unhappy families. A light take on a dark subject, it makes its point without laying heavy on the heart, for which the audience is grateful.
Great performances from all the actors, but particularly from Saif Ali Khan and the ironically named Inspector Lovely.
