Review of Beau Geste (1939) by Robert A — 20 Aug 2017
I haven't seen this film for about 40 years. What I always remembered was the end bit where Digby puts the sadistic sergeant at his brother's feet because Vikings always die with a dog at their feet.
Watching it again 40 years later was pleasantly nostalgic, but I realise it's not a classic just a very good film. Until the end there is very little adventure to speak of, some of the characters are odd, and there are quite a few plot holes.
Still, worth a watch.
