Review of Barfi! (2012) by Kristina C — 27 Mar 2015
The label 'Bollywood' movie normally causes me to turn off as I assume there will be hours of dancing but this film is a must see. Ranbir portrayal of the deaf mute man is comic genius and the Charlie Chaplin influence is clear.
The second reason to see the film is the inspired performance of Priyanka playing the woman with autism. What would seem to be on the surface unusual subject combinations works to become one of the most moving films seen.
The plot with the kidnapping was a bit hazy but do not let this put you off.
