Bizarre, off-the-wall, counter-cultural comedy from an early Woody Allen. Works really well, and is hilarious as a political satire. Very similar to Mel Brooks and Seth MacFarlane in style and delivery of the many jokes.
Some jokes might go over the heads of the viewer... at least those who aren't familiar with the time period. Some of the raunchy jokes almost foreshadow the allegations Woody faced later in his life.
