The movie does a really good job of transporting you into this time in India's history. The set design and costumes are all exceptionally convincing. I also think the movie has some good performances.
The main issue I have is that there are serious pacing issues. Some parts of the story feel uneventful and as a whole I felt it moves sluggishly in its middle parts. It does build up to a riveting and moving final act which does make the movie wroth seeing overall.
