Review of Ava's Possessions (2015) by John K — 01 Apr 2016
A film of unrealized promise. The premise is genius, but the execution is inconsistent. The film is fun and consistently funny, but it telegraphs its twists terribly and, when they come, they're incredibly dumb.
Also, the ending is an unintentionally comical non sequitur. The biggest positive is Louisa Krause, who plays white trash well in a phenomenal performance.
