"Arthur Newman" isn't a bad movie. It actually comes across as rather endearing quite a bit of the time. But the overall premise and general plotting makes the end result quite a muddled and confused genre piece.
Still, the film is carried by some competent acting from Colin Firth and Emily Blunt.
