Review of Argo (2012) by Josh O — 09 May 2014

My goodness was this a tense and amazing film, Ben Affleck has stepped up his game and made an incredible film and easily his best one, He was able to use what he did in Gone Baby Gone and the Town to capture the environments and the tone need for the film and completely engross you in the film.

The acting was great especially Scoot McNairy who I hope get recognized because he is such a great character actor. The cinematography was great, the editing well paced and the script was soo good. But the best thing about it was Ben Affleck's direction which blew me away.

Another great thing is that it doesn't make the Iranian's villainous, the villains are the villains not the people it was just a bad time for the country who felt betrayed. The score was good and the way that they mixed real footage of the events with what the filled for the movie was amazing.

of course even though it was based on a true story it was dramatized a bit for dramatic weight (e.g. he wasn't have issues with his wife in real life) but it doesn't change the fact that it's a great movie and huge awards contender; I can't weight to buy it on blu-ray.
