Review of Aragami (2003) by Stefan G — 02 Jul 2015
This movie was awesome on so many levels. There is nothing in this movie other than a swordsman and a demonic god of war in human form, sharing drinks in a temple, discussing philosophy, and fighting to the death, and everything about it is scintillating.
Nothing stands in the way of how the two principal characters interact with each other, both in battle and outside of battle, and the movie truly does so much with so little. The sheer premise of the movie I feel is worthy of applause, as is the transformation of the main character.
Overall, I was totally taken in with the movie, and it's hard to write extensively when I feel this way about a film.
