Review of Aradhana (1969) by Sarah M — 03 Feb 2008
What kind of sacrifices an Indian woman gives in her day to day life ShaktiDa has showed it in an excellent form and to complement his directorial greatness Sharmilaji has performed out of the league. The quixotic appeal of Rajesh Khanna reached its zenith in this superbly directed and choreographed film.
Although, Rajesh did as many as five films before this flick (mainly with the top heroines of the 60's like Saira Banu, Mumtaz and Asha Parekh) but no momentous success came to his way. The real winner here is the music, chart busters all of them.
