Review of American Violet (2008) by Kimberly B — 30 May 2010
I enjoyed this movie, but what bothered me was how recent this incident took place. Although it happened in Texas ("gets no love"), in 2002, it still exposes a broken Legal System which after so many hundreds of years of being implemented in this country, still poses a threat to those who are disadvantaged.
Oh , and Nicole Beharie was very very good in this.
