My Wife and I took 22 friends and family members to see this movie on the 4th of July. The collective quality of this movie was indeed a surprise and I'm so glad we saw it. This movie will elicit humor, emotion, pride and history within the historical context.
This is one of those movies that won't hit you fully until the next day. My Wife purchased the book and told me how great it was. I will be reading the book this week and want to see the movie again this weekend.
As being from a large Hispanic family where our family Patriarch and Matriarch immigrated lawfully settling the family in Kansas City in the 50's, I would recommend this movie my fellow Hispanic citizens and to all Americans including children 9 years or older.
A breath of fresh air from the movie industry and the producers of this film took extraordinary steps to make this not a movie but an event. Thank you so much......
