Review of Amer (2009) by Michael M — 04 Nov 2010
Amer is a French made homage to the Italian Giallo genre from the late 60s and early 70s. A psychosexual tale of a young woman's repressed desires haunting her throughout the course of her life, it borrows style cues from Argento, Bava, Martino, Lenzi and DePalma beautifully to create an original art house horror film of great depth and imagination.
Bravo!
