Review of Alpha and Omega 2: A Howl-iday Adventure (2013) by Keith L — 10 Oct 2013
For what it is, Alpha and Omega 2 is pretty good as a sequel to an amazing and underrated first film. Yes, the animation does not level up to the first, some of the lines in the movie are random, and the movie doesn't have a well-executed ending.
However, looking at this film as a movie (or a Christmas special, since the movie is only 45 minutes), it's harmless. I was VERY skeptical when they said that they were getting different voice actors for the main characters, but honestly, most of them sound very much like the original voice cast.
Even Ben Diskin, who replaces Justin Long as Humphrey, does a good job, although at times sounding like his character from the overrated cartoon Codename: Kids Next Door. Overall, this is a good extension of the Alpha and Omega franchise, but in NO way is it better than the first movie, and neither will the next two movies that will be released.
