Review of Allegro non troppo (1976) by Layla F — 08 Nov 2007
Far out...this film FREAKED ME OUT when I was little. I watched it about 200 times between the ages of 4 to 8 until the VHS cassette wore out.
There were a few bits that really bothered me (the people who kiss and their mouths come off) and the devils unleashed when Eve eats the apple. The sad little guy with hooves and the stray cat who looks through the window at the happy family to the soundtrack of Sibelius made me cry.
My favourite was the guy who builds his house higher and higher and does loads of stupid stuff and everyone copies him.
It has completely burned an imprint onto my brain.
