Review of All About Women (2008) by Hunter H — 31 Jul 2009
This movie is just plain silly fun. It's the story of three very different but completely quirky women and their romantic misadventures.
One woman is a nerdy scientist, the other a sexy executive and the third a spunky musician. All the actresses do an amazing job of adding dimension to characters that initially seem fairly flat.
Their storylines eventually intertwine and then untangle and are left unfinished.
However I think my biggest problem with this movie is the title. It isn't really about women. Tie Ling's storyline seemed more driven by the guy obsessed with her than by her own desires. In reality it is a story about love and how there aren't any easy solutions.
