Review of Albuquerque (1948) by John R — 16 Apr 2017
170417: Though not the strongest western, Albuquerque has a few endearing traits. Juke (George Gabby Hayes) would be my highlight. Hayes always seems to be an entertaining and light character actor. I was surprised a bit by the implied murder of John Armin (George Cleveland) by Letty Tyler (Barbara Britton).
It's a bit dark and runs contrary to the general nature of this 1940s western. There is one major gun battle near the end and though it's hard to imagine finding the time for this film again, it's well worth watching once.
