Review of Albert Nobbs (2011) by Ken N — 05 Mar 2012
Captivating account of a damaged woman managing to survive in a 19th century world dominated by poverty and injustice. Close and McTeer were excellent in portraying two sides of the same survival instinct.
McTeer's character found love and self-fulfillment within a life of secrets. Albert, also in a world of secrets, believed love and fulfillment were possible but never understood their complexities.
