Based on the cult manga by Otomo, Askira is considered as one of the best animated movies ever. I can only agree. The story and the animations are astonishing, the voice-actors are simply wonderful. It's clear that the manga, as much as the anime had open the way to a lot of other work. Hey, if you think anime and manga are only for nerds or little boys, prepare yourself to be converted.
