One of the best European movie of 2015. The movie is hilarious and tragic in the same time. Jude brings to the viewer with finesse and humor a world full of contradictions and moral ambivalence , righteousness , hate and bigotry.
In this violent , simple world , full of self pity , tragedies happen and the characters in the story try to navigate using a moral compass molded by the Christian Orthodox Church with hope for a better future.
The director tells the story from the distance in black and white , creating the illusion of a realistic snippet of history coming from the no so distant past.
