A quirky, most decidedly dark comedy that still manages to find humor â?? albeit uncomfortable humor â?? in death and accidents. The movie traces the angst of a accident-prone teenage boy in a family that has become increasingly dysfunctional from the impact of a ghastly car accident.
Geena Davis is superb as the mother, even when saying corny lines like, "And if my grandmother had balls, she'd be my grandfather." Haha.
