Review of Absurdistan (2008) by Dorwin D — 15 Feb 2009
Saw this movie at the 2008 Sundance festival. A quirky, allegorical love story (of sorts) where the women turn the table on the men (you think you have seen/heard this all before? Hardly.) Humorous and with spot-on performances, it's what many fantasies would be like if we didn't have Disney to contend with.
Has the added bonuses of a multi-ethnic cast who could barely understand each other during filming and is probably the only film you are likely to seen that was filmed in Tajikistan.
