Review of Abby (1974) by Mrsz C — 16 Jun 2009

I first heard of this movie as a recommendation on a review about Beyond The Door, an Italian Exorcist ripoff. The reviewer said that Abby was more outrageous and funny (crazy funny) than any Exorcist rip off ever made.

A blaxploitation Exorcist clone seemed to good for me to turn down. As it turned out, it was too hyped up. It's a terrible movie (but that's sort of irrelevant with these types films) and wasn't nearly as shocking as I was hoping for.

She does puke a lot but it seems like the budget was so low that pea soup wasn't even affordable. This just seemed like foamy water. The quality is also terrible. It's really stepped on and in great need of being restored, which I doubt will happen any time soon.
