An entertaining indie sci-fi offering with an intriguing premise, generally crisp special effects and an ethereal soundtrack that effectively enhances the narrative's haunting mood. While there are a few tropes that will ring a few cliched bells, there are also twists that make the story fresh and different.
With a cast peppered with former "Star Trek" actors, the film serves up a comfortable familiarity while standing alone in its own right. The picture's theatrical run is at its end, but it will soon be available for a number of home viewing options.
