Review of 400 Days (2015) by Amanda W — 11 Mar 2016
Frustrating and ultimately epic waste of time. It felt like the writer-director was Sybil with multiple plot lines attempting to converge and failing miserably. The suspense and affinity to the hopelessly shallow, but likable characters entraps one enough to not turn the movie off.
Sadly, the ending leaves the viewer unfulfilled and scratching their heads, if not plain ole p-o'ed. Too bad, I really had high hopes for Dane Cook's return to the big screen. To be fair, he did as much as could be expected with the ghostly character development.
Do yourself a favor and watch ROOM if you are looking for a claustrophobic thriller worth a damn.
