Review of 29th and Gay (2005) by Roxanne R — 13 Mar 2011
It was okay but felt somewhat dated..its about a 29 year old gay man (played by James Vasquez) who is a struggling actor in Hollywood (so many of them around right)..anyways its sort of a comedy and all the actors seem to be SAG members.
He has not reached the pinnacle of success yet and feels left behind while others have meaningful and good careers. I do agree with the movie description above about life being a journey, NOT the destination.
His best friends are Roxy, a straight actress turned activist, and Brandon who loves to sleep around with cute boys. I give credit to the director (Carrie Preston) and cast because it turned out okay, good effort indeed and our protagonist seemed to find love at the end!
