Review of 2012 (2009) by Jed G — 09 Jul 2013
This is my favorite of Roland Emmerich's films, and one of my favorite movies of all time. It was emotionally resonant, the dialogue was very good, the characters were identifiable, it was paced perfectly, the build up was unbelievably tense, and there was some biting social commentary.
I had the option of either seeing this or Disney's A Christmas Carol in the theater when I was 10, and I am so grateful that I chose this movie. It was one of the greatest theatrical experiences I had ever had.
The Day After Tomorrow, you've got another thing coming. 2012 is the greatest disaster movie ever.
