Review of 1945 (2017) by Gabor V — 24 May 2017
This movie hit close to home since my mother came from a Hungarian village where her parents ran the village store.. Her parents went to Auschwitz with her brother together with many relatives.. After the war, all their possessions and buildings they had owned were taken over by locals just as in the movie.
1945 is well presented with excellent portrail of what actually happened in many, many villages and cities throughout Eastern Europe.
