Review of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars (1983) by Jacqueline M — 28 Jun 2011
A slice of a time I will never be able to see. David Bowie's songs are timeless, and no one will ever be able to live up to Mick Ronson's snarling, sexed-up guitar work. Don't take your eyes from Bowie as he sings through some of the greatest songs in the middle of the movie--including a mesmerizing rendition of My Death.
If you are a Ziggy fan, play at full volume to really feel those guitars; only problems are the sound quality and the image quality, and how the camera focuses so much on the raving fangirls. Definitely worth watching.
