Review of Zatoichi's Flashing Sword (1964) by William W — 12 Jan 2014
As with most famous fighters, Zato is seriously injured when a virtual nobody (sorry for the pun) blindsides our hero with a musket shot. What unfolds is another complex morality tale of lives caught up by the ambitions of local officials - this time a good boss and an overly ambitious neighboring boss.
Several subtle spots of comedy caused by Ichi's blindness, with great cinematography and fighting (again!).
