Review of Zatoichi Meets the One-Armed Swordsman (1971) by Jean-François S — 11 Aug 2009
This is a great edition to the Zatoichi legacy. The fact that he can take out one of the greatest martial artist from China has to be a huge notch on his belt. Seriously this movie is great for other reasons than that to be honest Wang Kang (the one-armed swordsman) is not the greatest foe that he has faced at all.
It's just cool that two nations can come together at that point in history and have their heroes face off in a great battle. Another highlight is that of the barrel-fight sequence it's very funny and different from other things i've seen through out this series of movies.
If you wanna watch half of this series or only a third this edition is a must see.
