I really want to dislike Michael Cera but damn-it his schtick works. Youth In Revolt is a dark, comedic, hormone infused, schizophrenic look at adolescent love and relationships and family disfunction.
If you can't stand "The Michael Cera Thing" this movie isn't for you. If you kinda begrudgingly dig it, then you (like me) will hate that you like this movie. I like that this movie strays from the teen comedy norm and becomes something edgier and more unexpectedly hilarious.
