Review of Yo-Yo Girl Cop (2006) by Geir F — 14 Jun 2008

A boring, poorly directed and overly edited modern entry in the Sukeban Deka series. This one has none of the goofy charm of the 80's movies, and little else but Aya Matsuura to offer. Unfortunately, while Ms Matsuura is good looking, her emoting capabilities are barely on par with a pile of wood.

And though it's probably unfair to compare Kenta Fukasaku to his father, it's also inevitable, making it all the more clear that he is just not a very good director. Too bad.
