Review of XXX! (2011) by Anssi V — 09 Oct 2011
I used to think this is what a bad boy Bond would be like, and then Daniel Craig came along and I saw that this was nothing but a regular Bond but with giant muscles.
The film is fun for the most part but Asia Argento just annoys the hell out of me in this film. Everytime she opens her mouth I'm just like "really? did you just say that?" With the likes of Sam Jackson and Danny Trejo, you'd think this would be one bad ass film but neither actor is used to any real effect.
The soundtrack in this film however, is awesome! Even if it does tend to get wishy washy in the last 1/4 of the film, there's nothing wrong with Rammstein, Moby, Orbital and Lil Wayne blasting out your speakers during an action film.
But short of a few action sequences, and a great soundtrack, the next best thing in this film is a single line of dialogue that sums up the writingin this film to a tee... "Bitches Come!".
