Review of X+Y (2014) by Nick R — 03 Apr 2015
Sympathetic story of a maths "prodigy" who struggles to engage with the world, other than through mathematics. Lead characters are mostly flawed in one way or another, which leads to some divided sympathies.
Rafe Spall, Sally Hawkins and Eddie Marsan all good, as is Asa Butterfield who plays the young prodigy Nathan. Sound British film, deserving of a wider release. Recommended.
